Oggi ho un po’ di ansia da prestazione nello scrivere i tre minuti del mio blog sulla gente che indossa occhiali. Per fortuna la donna che sto per intervistare ha la capacità di mettere chiunque a proprio agio con un semplice, bellissimo sorriso. Grazie alla sua naturale empatia supererò quindi l’imbarazzo di fare sei domande da dilettante , ad una persona che del giornalismo,invece ha fatto la propria professione. Il fatto che sia anche un volto noto della televisione italiana, diventa assolutamente irrilevante quando si spengono i riflettori dello studio dal quale conduce il TG5, perchè nella vita di tutti i giorni Domitilla Savignoni si fa chiamare Tilla e da Tilla si comporta. Una donna talmente normale, da essere fuori dal comune. Forse è per questo che ci capiamo al volo. Probabilmente abbiamo personalità sofisticate, pur essendo amanti delle cose semplici. Ci interessa l’apparenza, ma solo per passione della bellezza; quello che in realtà ci conquista è l’essenza, specialmente quando si parla di rapporti umani.
– Per lavoro e per passione viaggi molto. I viaggi, diventano memorabili per gli incontri che si fanno, non solo per i paesi che si visitano. Gli abitanti di quale luogo sono quelli che ti hanno lasciato il segno più profondo tra emozioni e ricordi ? Trovi che i veneziani abbiano qualcosa di unico che appartiene solo a loro e a nessun’altra popolazione al mondo? Cosa?
Sicuramente gli israeliani. Sono persone particolari. Abituate a vivere “assediate” ma con una grande voglia di vivere. A Tel Aviv respiri un’energia travolgente e invece Gerusalemme è l’unico luogo al mondo dove una che non crede a nulla come me riesce ancora a sentire nell’aria una forte spiritualità. I veneziani sono unici perchè vivono in un luogo unico al mondo! E poi se ne parlassi male tu mi toglieresti il saluto…Quindi mi piacciono perchè quelli che ho conosciuto sono intelligenti, empatici , non scontati, belli, amanti dell’arte e delle belle cose, poliglotti, giramondo.
– Prima di intraprendere la carriera di giornalista sei stata campionessa di ginnastica ritmica. Visti i tuoi trascorsi sportivi e il forte legame con il mondo dell’atletica, non ti sarebbe piaciuto fare la giornalista sportiva, invece che la conduttrice ( e redattrice ed inviata) del TG5? Ci sono aspetti della formazione da ginnasta, che nel tuo lavoro di oggi ti sono tornati utili o senza dei quali non avresti raggiunto lo stesso successo?
Effettivamente ci avevo pensato. Forse sarebbe stata una scelta più giusta, ma avevo anche la passione per gli “esteri”, leggevo solo libri di spionaggio, ammiravo Lucia Annunziata che faceva l’inviata nelle zone dimenticate del mondo e sognavo di raccontare storie. Lo sport mi ha allenato ad essere tenace e determinata. La ginnastica ritmica mi ha insegnato come sia importante essere calmi e concentrati per ottenere risultati, cosa che serve molto in tv soprattutto quando sei in diretta e “tutto può accadere”
– Quando ci siamo conosciuti hai scelto da Boudoir un paio di occhiali da sole e, siccome saresti andata ad una festa di carnevale, anche una maschera su misura. Hai mai pensato al paradosso di come qualcuno riesca ad esprimere se stesso solo quando indossa una maschera, quando questa in realtà dovrebbe nascondere non solo il viso ma anche mimettizare la personalità? Gli occhiali da sole, sono una maschera?
Ricordo benissimo il giorno in cui ci siamo conosciuti… la magia del tuo negozio, diverso da tutti, pieno di oggetti che indicavano la forte personalità del proprietario e un gusto raffinato e divertente. Gli occhiali non sono una maschera ma rivelano tantissimo di noi, hai ragione! In base al modello, al colore, alla forma scelta puoi capire tanto di un cliente. Basta guardare quelli che ho scelto io… ahahah
– Per condurre il telegiornale, prima devi passare da trucco e parrucco. In televisione i costumisti hanno voce in capitolo anche per quanto riguarda il guardaroba. Come viene gestita a livello di look, la tua immagine televisiva? Ti pesa mai che siano altri a dirti come vestirti ?
Per fortuna qui al TG5 abbiamo ampia libertà di scelta.. Siamo aiutati ma abbiamo pochi limiti. Niente scollature accentuate, no al viola e no alle righe strette che “frizzano”. Per il resto siamo liberi ma consigliati. Anche perchè i vestiti sono spesso di alcune case di moda che li prestano per stagione. Sappiamo tutti che dovendo raccontare notizie drammatiche bisogna essere vestiti in modo appropriato.
– Sia i tuoi occhiali da sole, sia quelli da vista, li hai scelti rossi.Ci racconti questo colore?
Il rosso è il colore della passione, dicono. Ma per me è un colore caldo, lontano dal nero… che sopporto poco. Ho anche occhiali verdi e blu. Viola ce li hai per me?
– Se dovessi immaginarti mentre sei a tavola, non riuscirei a farlo senza visualizzare almeno altri cinque o sei commensali. Quanto è importante per te questo tipo di convivialità e quanto senti invece il bisogno di momenti da dedicare solo a te stessa?
Ho sempre amato stare in compagnia, i miei amici diventano la mia famiglia, amo fare vacanze con loro, riunirli a cena ma -hai detto bene- non devono essere più di 5-6. Odio le tavolate dove non riesci a parlare con nessuno, non sopporto la confusione e non riesco a coltivare tante amicizie perchè ho un cattivo rapporto con il telefono. Chi mi vuole davvero bene lo sa e continua a volermi bene anche se non gli chiedo ogni settimana come sta e che fa.
Ora ti lascio al tuo allenamento, sperando di vederti alla prossima Venice Marathon, tanto le maratone di New York e Roma le hai già corse.

When the anchor man is a woman.
Today I am a little bit anxious in writing the three minutes of my blog about people who wear glasses. Fortunately the woman I’m interviewing, has the ability to make anyone feel comfortable with her beautiful smile. Due to her natural empathy, It will be much easier for me to ask six questions to a professional journalist, as I’m a just a poor blogger. The fact that she is also a known face on Italian television, becomes irrelevant when the lights of the TV studio from which leads the morning news , are turned off. This because in the everydaylife Domitilla Savignoni is called simply Tilla and she does behave as a Tilla would. I think being that normal is out of the ordinary. Maybe that’s why we understand each other so well. We probably have sophisticated personalities, although we’re lovers of the simple things in life. We are interested in the appearance, but only because of our passion for beauty; what really gets us forever is the essence, especially when it comes to human relationships.
-You travel a lot for work and passion. Trips, become memorable for the meetings that you make, not only for the countries that you visit. The inhabitants of what place are those that have left the deepest marks in you between emotions and memories ? Do you think that Venetians have something unique that belongs only to them and not to any other population in the world? What is that Thing?
Surely the Israelis. They are special people. Used to live”under siege” but with a great desire to live. In Tel Aviv you breath an overwhelming energy and Jerusalem is the only place in the world where one like me , who does not believe in anything, can still feel the strong spirituality. Venetians are unique because they live in this unique place ! I like them because the ones I got to know are intelligent, empathetic, original, beautiful, lovers of art and beautiful things, multilingual, world traveler.
Before beginning your career as a journalist you were rhythmic gymnastics champion. On behalf of your sporting past and the strong connection with the world of athletics, wouldn’t you have preferred to be a sports journalist, instead of the anchor woman (and editor and reporter) of the news? Are there aspects of the training as a gymnast, which helped you in your current work or without which you would not have achieved the same success?
I actually thought about it. Perhaps it would be a right choice, but I also had a passion for the “foreign”, I read only spy books, I admired Lucia Annunziata, who was reporter in the most forgotten areas of the world and I dreamed of telling stories. Sport has trained me to be strong and determined. Rhythmic gymnastics taught me how important it is to be calm and focused to achieve results, which skill you need a lot especially when you’re on TV live and “anything can happen”
– When we first met you chose at Boudoir a pair of sunglasses by Gold&Wood, and because you’d go to a carnival party, also a tailor-made silikon mask. Have you ever thought about the paradox of how someone can express himself only by wearing a mask, when in real it should hide not only the face, but also hide the personality? Sunglasses, are they a mask?
I remember the day when we first met very well… your magical store, different from all the others, full of objects soaked in the strong personality of the owner and a refined taste and fun. Sunglasses are not a mask, they reveal a lot of us, you’re right! Depending on the model, the color, the chosen shape you can understand a lot about who is wearing them. Look at the ones that I chose … hahaha
– To read the news live, first you have to go through hairdresser and makeup. On television, the costume designers have their word to say also about the wardrobes. How it is to be managed in your outfits ,when your on TV ? Does it ever hurt you, when others tell you what to wear?
Luckily here at TG5 we have freedom of choice . It’smore akind of help that wee get and we have only a few restrictions. No to deep necklines, no to purple and no to narrow striped tops,because they would blink on the screen. For the rest we are free. Also because the clothes are often from some fashion brands to show the seasonal collection. We all know to tell dramatic news, we must be dressed appropriately.
– Whether your sunglasses, and the optical ones , you chose are red. Tell us about this color.
Red is the color of passion, they say. But for me it is a warm color, far from black …which I stand notto much. I also own green and blue glasses. You got some purple ones for me?
– If I had to imagine you while you’re having a meal, I could not do it without seeing at least another five or six other friends arounf you. How important is it for you this kind of conviviality and instead do you still feel the need for time to spend alone?
I have always loved being in groups of friends, my friends became my family, I love to go on holidays with them, bring them all together at dinner, but as you said , they must not be more than 5-6. I hate tables where you can not talk to anyone, I can not stand the mess and I can not cultivate many friendships because I have a bad relationship with phonecalls. Who really loves me knows this and continues to love me even if I’m not constantly asking friends how they are and what they do.
